Bass Pro Shops announced that it plans to expand his retail empire by opening nine to 11 stores next year. The retailer wouldn't disclose where those locations will be, but it's already opened three new stores so far this year. Those were in Tallahassee, Fla., Utica, N.Y. and Port St. Lucie, Fla., according to Katie Mitchell, spokeswoman for Bass Pro Shops. At the end of the year, Bass Pro Shops will have 64 stores, including its location in St. Charles.

Bass Pro Shops Plans to Open West Chester Twp. Location in 2015

Bass Pro Shops has announced plans for a 150,000-square-foot location in West Chester Twp. The company revealed plans October 18, 2013 for a location near the intersection of Interstate 75 and Union Center Boulevard. Construction is set to begin next year, with an opening in 2015. The original Cincinnati Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World, which opened in November 2000, is located about seven miles away at Forest Fair Village, formerly the Cincinnati Mall. That location will be closed once the new location is built and ready to open. The new store will be 20,000 square feet larger than the existing Cincinnati area store. The new location will feature an Uncle Buck's Fishbowl and Grill, a nautical-themed venue for entertainment and dining that includes 12 lanes of bowling. Beyond fishing and hunting gear, Bass Pro Shops offers equipment and clothing for hiking, backpacking, wildlife viewing, camping and outdoor cooking. A gift and nature center features a variety of outdoor-related items from lamps and dishes to bird feeders and furniture. The company's only other Ohio store is in Rossford, near Toledo.

Bass Pro Shops Plans to Build New Store in Greater Cincinnati Area; Announces to Close its Existing Site at Cincinnati Mall

Bass Pro Shops announced that it plans to build new store in the Greater Cincinnati area. The 150,000-square-foot new store will be located at the intersection of Interstate 75 at Union Center Boulevard in West Chester. Construction is set to begin in 2014, and the new store is scheduled to open in 2015. The new store will be built in the Streets of West Chester along Civic Centre Boulevard. It will include a more than 10,000-square-foot restaurant and bowling alley called Uncle Buck's Fishbowl and Grill. The nautical-themed area has 12 bowling lanes that make customers feel like they're bowling at the bottom of the ocean. The menu includes a variety of casual dining fare, such as sandwiches, salads and burgers. The new store will have a lodge-like exterior and outdoor-themed interior, with massive log and rock work, large indoor aquarium and water features stocked with native fish species. The store sells fishing and hunting gear, as well as equipment and clothing for hiking, backpacking, wildlife viewing, camping, outdoor cooking and more. Bass Pro Shops also has expansive boat showrooms. The company also announced to close its existing site at Cincinnati Mall. The original Cincinnati Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World opened in November 2000 and is located in the Cincinnati Mall, now know as Forest Fair Village. The existing store will remain open until the new store is completed, at which time current employees will transfer to the new location.
