Member of Parliament for Kepala Batas Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina has been appointed chairman of Amanah Raya Berhad (AmanahRaya) with effect from January 1, 2014. Reezal, 42, replaces Datuk Dusuki Ahmad who retired on December 29 last year, after serving for 10 years. Reezal served at Bank Industri Malaysia Berhad and Kuwait Ijarah House and was responsible for the financing facilities for two banks based in Jeddah and Kuwait.

Amanah Raya Berhad announced the resignation of Datin Aminah Binti Pit and Raman as Non Independent & Non Executive director. Datin Aminah began her career as Administrative and Diplomatic Officer in 1972. In the government sector, she served as Director of the Planning and Development Division for the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs in 1991. She also served as the Deputy Director of Administration at the University Hospital Kuala Lumpur in 1986. Previously she served the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Economic Planning Unit, Prime Minister's Department. After serving the government for 23 years, Datin Aminah embarked on a career in private sector where she was attached to Hong Leong Bank Berhad from 1995 to March 2002 as the General Manager for Economics and Islamic Banking Division.
