On April 24(th), at its Annual Meeting, the Board of Trustees of the Practising Law Institute (PLI) elected the following: Appointments for three-year terms were received by Ellen M. Cosgrove, Associate Dean and Dean of Students at Harvard Law School; William P. Frank of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP; Edward F. Greene of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP; Mei Lin Kwan-Gett of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP; Carmen Lawrence of King & Spalding; Lance Liebman, the William S. Beinecke Professor of Law at Columbia Law School; Angela M. Mazzarelli, Associate Justice of the Appellate Division of the New York State Supreme Court, First Department; Sidney H. Stein, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York; and Gregory C. Swinehart, a National Service Area Leader, Analytics, Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP. The Trustees elected long-time Trustees Kathryn Wriston and David Balabanian to become Trustees Emeriti. Also elected were Troy McKenzie, Professor at New York University Law School, to take Ms. Wriston's place for a two-year term; and Adrian Dollard, a graduate of Duke University School of Law and the founder of San Francisco investment bank Qatalyst, to replace Balabanian for a two-year term.
Practising Law Institute Relocates to a New Home in Midtown Manhattan

Practising Law Institute has relocated to a new home in Midtown Manhattan. VVA Project Managers & Consultants provided overall Project Management services for this extensive build out and relocation of PLI's new high-tech conference center. 1177 Avenue of the Americas, formerly known as the America's Tower, is a class A building. PLI's 68,000 SF Conference Center features digital HD video and audio recording and processing equipment; each seat features pre-loaded iPads with program materials, WiFi availability in the lounge, a faculty 'ready room' and an on-site business center. Live Webcasts of most programs will be broadcast from the Center, and a full staff will be on site to assist seminar attendees.
