Board of Directors’ of Open Joint Stock Company Gazprom will hold a meeting on April 12, 2013 to discuss Public Gas Corporation S.A.’s (DEPA) privatization tender. Gazprom plans to bid for DEPA. Sintez Group JSC also plans to bid for DEPA. A consortium of M and M Natural Gas A.E., Mytilineos Holdings S.A. and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA are also bidding for DEPA.

Sintez Group JSC, Open Joint Stock Company Gazprom and a consortium of M and M Natural Gas A.E., Mytilineos Holdings S.A. and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA are looking to acquire Public Gas Corporation S.A. (DEPA). While Sintez along with State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), PPF Group N.V. and GEK TERNA Holdings, Real Estate, Construction S.A. are looking to acquire DESFA S.A. Gazprom’s Chief Executive Officer, Alexei Miller held talks with Greek officials in Athens the privatization of DEPA is only planning to bid for DEPA.

Sintez Group JSC has submitted the highest bid of €1.9 billion for 65% stake in Public Gas Corporation S.A. (DEPA) from the government, which is the highest price among bidders, Kommersant business daily reported citing a banking source. The bids made by Open Joint Stock Company Gazprom, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and two consortia of, M and M Natural Gas A.E. along with Mytilineos Holdings S.A. and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA, and PPF Group N.V. along with GEK TERNA Holdings, Real Estate, Construction S.A. were not revealed. Reuters reported that a Sintez representative was not immediately available to comment.
