Sabra Dipping Co., LLC Opens Global "Center of Excellence" R&D Facility, Cooking Up a World of Possibilities in Dips and Spreads

Sabra Dipping Co., LLC opened the doors to the new Center of Excellence (COE) research and development facility in Chesterfield County, VA. The Center, which is located on the site of Sabra's hummus manufacturing facility (the world's largest), will further research capabilities and improve Sabra's products in all aspects of food manufacturing and distribution, from agriculture, nutrition and food science to engineering, packaging and product delivery. The COE supports Sabra and the international venture between PepsiCo and Strauss Group, called Obela. The center is the first-of-its-kind research and development center for refrigerated dips and spreads. The Center of Excellence features a culinary center, research laboratory, ideation space, a pilot plant and hands-on research modules all aimed at enabling the company to develop the highest quality, most delicious dips and spreads. The Center will house experts in culinary arts, food technology and nutrition, and will conduct groundbreaking research on chickpeas, fruits and vegetables, some of which will be done in conjunction with local VA universities. As Obela looks to expand beyond Mexico and Australia, The Center of Excellence in Virginia will enable Obela to leverage experience from the US market to meet the needs of communities globally. Obela launched in Mexico in June of 2012 with three varieties of hummus (chipotle, red pepper and plain) and has gained market share quickly.

Sabra Dipping Co., LLC Introduces Grab N Go Pack With Salsa and TOSTITOS(R) Tortilla Chips for Snackers On the Move

Sabra Dipping Co. announced the addition of a Grab N Go pack featuring Sabra's Homestyle Medium Salsa and TOSTITOS(R) Bite Size Rounds tortilla chips to its line of products. Sabra's popular Grab N Go cups with Classic, Roasted Garlic and Roasted Red Pepper hummus paired with pretzels have been available since 2005. Eating on the go doesn't have to be a struggle. Since their initial launch, the Grab N Go cups have been a customer favorite. This is the first time Sabra has offered its delicious, refrigerated Salsa in a single serving size. All Sabra salsas are made from hand-selected tomatoes, and are combined with delicious, chunky vegetables, herbs and spices. The new offering will join Sabra's family of refrigerated Salsas, Hummus, Guacamole and Greek yogurt vegetable dips. Sabra Grab N Go packs can be found at supermarkets, convenience stores, airports, college campuses, and club stores nationwide.

Sabra Dipping Co., LLC announced two new additions to its popular line of refrigerated salsas, Roasted Garlic and Mango Peach. Joining Homestyle Mild, Homestyle Medium, Southwest and Pico de Gallo, the two new salsa varieties are in stores nationwide. Sabra salsas are made from high quality, Roma tomatoes and spices. The Mango Peach variety features chunks of fruit that complement the flavors of the tomatoes and onions - a fun and delicious twist on traditional salsa. The Roasted Garlic flavor gives new dimension to the classic dip. The new offerings will join Sabra's family of almost 20 hummus flavors, salsas, guacamoles and Greek yogurt vegetable dips. All varieties of Sabra Salsa are fat free, gluten free and kosher. The Salsas can be found in the refrigerated section of the deli aisle at club stores and supermarkets nationwide.
