X-Rite, Incorporated Key Developments

X-Rite Inc. and Pantone LLC Demonstrates New Solutions for Solving Colour Problems at PLASTPOL in Kielce, Poland

X-Rite Inc. and Pantone LLC will demonstrate new solutions for solving colour management problems for processors of plastics and rubber at the 18th Annual PLASTPOL show to be held 27-30 May in Kielce, Poland. Representatives from X-Rite Pantone and company partner Reprograf S.A. will demonstrate hardware and software solutions that range from the newly introduced Ci6x Series handheld spectrophotometers to the Ci4200 Series countertop spectrophotometers at stand A-119 at the Congress and Exhibition Centre of Kielce Trade Fairs. X-Rite Pantone also offers an online resource called World of Plastics as a convenient way for PLASTPOL visitors or those who couldn't attend the show to access a wide range of useful information on color measurement and management solutions for the plastics industry. One solution that will be highlighted at the show is X-Rite’s Ci6x Series of versatile spherical spectrophotometers that provides tighter controls of incoming materials, in-process samples and finished coatings. The Ci6x Series yields simultaneous specular included or specular excluded measurements in less than 2 seconds to determine if color variance is caused by appearance, and the instrument generates audit trails to ensure productivity for facilities with multiple sites. In addition, the company will be showing solutions for plastics and rubber applications that include: MA9X Series of handheld multi-angle spectrophotometers that includes the MA98 for special effect coatings, the only device that meets the ASTM standard (E2539) for measuring interference pigments; Color i 7 bench top spectrophotometer a reference instrument for reliable digital workflow and error-free measurement at all opacity levels on plastic, coated, and liquid samples; RM200QC pocket-sized spectrocolourimeter that can be used to compare the colours of lab samples or plastic parts in the field with reference standards, then create reports that can be shared with supply chain partners; Color iMatch system that provides quick, accurate colour analysis and colour formulations for materials; and, Color iQC quality control software that removes the guesswork from evaluating colour and increases efficiency while ensuring accurate colour control.

X-Rite Incorporated Announces the Availability of eXact Scan

X-Rite Incorporated announced the availability of eXact Scan, a new option that extends the functionality of the X-Rite eXact spectrophotometer platform. eXact Scan adds unmatched speed, flexibility and new quality control tools to the eXact color measurement instruments for the printing and packaging industries. When combined with InkKeyControl software from X-Rite, eXact Scan enables color management at a low cost of entry, enabling printers to extend the useful lives of their presses. InkKeyControl allows printers to achieve faster make-ready and improve quality control through control of ink keys. It displays real-time measurement results in a graphical red/yellow/green “traffic light” report, which enables press operators to quickly manage changes as they print. The eXact Scan Option extends the instrument’s ability to accurately read conventional and non-continuous strips for quality assurance applications, such as flexo printing for packaging. Also, it is the ideal solution for offset litho printers that have large capital investments in older presses that aren’t equipped with in-line color measurement capabilities. With a few simple steps, pressroom personnel can install the new eXact Scan chassis and software to greatly extend the ability of the eXact spectrophotometer to accurately read different length color bars on a variety of printed materials.

X-Rite Inc. Demonstrates New Solutions for Quality Color Management at PaperCon 2014 in Nashville

X-Rite Inc. will demonstrate new solutions for the measurement and management of color for the paper, packaging and converting industries at the PaperCon 2014 show to be held April 26-30 in Nashville. X-Rite Pantone representatives and partner, Spectratech Services Corp., at booth 1108 of the Nashville Renaissance/Nashville Convention Center complex, will demonstrate hardware and software solutions that range from the new ERX50 Series and Ci64UV spectrophotometers to the SpectraLight QC light booth. The ERX50 is a non-contact spectrophotometer designed to perform in-line color measurement and closed-loop color control for the manufacturing of all paper and board types. In-line measurement and closed-loop color control allow for shorter start-up and shade change times, reduced waste, and consistency in manufacturing color quality. The ERX50 represents X-Rite turnkey systems that include software, hardware and pump systems for dispensing dyes and colorants. The Ci64UV is X-Rite's response to customer needs for a versatile handheld spectrophotometer. The Ci64UV provides quality control of color for paper and packaging materials, along with the capability of generating audit trails to ensure productivity for facilities with multiple sites. The product is equipped with UV illumination to support accurate color measurement of materials that contain optical brightener agents. In addition to the ERX50 Series and Ci64UV spectrophotometers, other solutions that will be highlighted at the conference include: SpectraLight QC light booth that offers more standardized illumination sources than any visual assessment QC solution on the market, correctly replicating the lighting that one would find in natural daylight, at the shopping mall, at home or in other settings; Color iMatch system that provides quick, accurate color analysis and color formulations for materials; and, Color iQC quality control software that removes the guesswork from evaluating colors, which simplifies processes and increases efficiency while ensuring accurate color control.
