On March 26, 2012, SABSA Holdings (Proprietary) Limited announced that it priced a bond issue under its ZAR 6,000,000,000 Domestic Medium Term Note Programme established in December 2012, comprising ZAR 1,000,000,000 7.125% notes due March 2018. The Notes will be guaranteed by the company and the net proceeds will be used by the Issuer for its general corporate purposes.

SABMiller announced the company plans to issue up to ZAR 6 billion (EUR 529 million)corporate bonds denominated in South African rand. The bonds will be issued under the newly established Domestic Medium Term Note Programme by SABMiller's subsidiary SABSA Holdings. SABMiller expects that bonds issued under the programme will be listed on the Interest Rate Market of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), although under the terms of the programme memorandum, unlisted notes or notes listed on another bourse may also be issued.
