Telefonica Selects Affinion International Limited to Extend Loyalty Programs

Affinion International Limited announced that the company has been selected to provide brand-building programs to customers of Telefonica, one of the large telecommunications providers in the world, and among the large companies in Spain. Affinion International launched its operations in Spain in 2009 and currently provides services across a 16 country footprint, with a presence throughout Europe as well as Latin America and South Africa. Under the terms of the multi-year agreement, Affinion International will create and market multiple programs on behalf of Telefonica. Affinion International will rely on its extensive experience in building products and services that are relevant to Telefonica's customers. The agreement is expected to result in the creation of hundreds of jobs in support of these programs, with many of those new jobs located in Spain. Affinion International was selected after an extensive search by Telefonica, in large part because of Affinion's significant experience with the desired product offerings as well as the depth of experience in its marketing channels. Affinion International is expected to provide Telefonica with a partner capable of augmenting the already suite of value-added customer-centric programs offered by the telecommunications giant. Affinion International anticipates that the agreement will accelerate the scale and range of its operations in Spain, as the Company will be adding resources and personnel in client management, data analytics, operations, sales and marketing. The agreement with Telefonica will also be crucial in supporting Affinion International's brand in the Spanish market, which has been identified as one of the most important emerging markets for the Company.
