The process begins when patients check in using a registration point-of-service device and are placed in the appropriate service queue. Patients are informed of their estimated wait time and can track their status on monitors strategically placed for easy viewing, or with text messages that eliminate restrictive waiting in designated locations. Providing patients the means to monitor their progress promotes a relaxed environment with a controlled and fair waiting process.
