Carnegie Learning, Inc. announced a new alliance bringing together Clever's Instant Login single sign-on system with Carnegie Learning's digital mathematics programs for middle and high school. The seamless integration of Clever's capabilities with a school's student information system grants students and teachers instant access to Carnegie Learning's MATHia and Cognitive Tutor software with a single login. In addition to the single sign-on access for Carnegie Learning users, teachers and administrators will also gain access to real-time student enrollment rosters and reporting, which will sync across a district's SIS to ensure students are enrolled and engaged in the proper courses. All Clever and Carnegie Learning systems are secure and FERPA-compliant, helping to ensure that all student information is safe and 100% controlled by the school district.

Carnegie Learning, Inc. has received a two-year $1.4 million contract from Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) to test how cognitive and non-cognitive factors together affect learning. The ADL laboratories, located in Alexandria, VA and Orlando, FL, prototype and test learning technologies and innovations for the U.S. Department of Defense. The Hyper-Personalized Intelligent Tutors project will explore how factors such as interest-level, mood, and persistence affect learning. The project will build a collaborative research platform for understanding how cognitive and non-cognitive factors working together impact retention of knowledge and a student's commitment to keep learning.
