Addonics Technologies, Inc. Key Developments
Addonics Technologies, Inc. announced a family of high speed duplicators that make multiple copies of mSATA SSDs, 2.5-inch SATA HDD/SSDs or micro SATA drives from a single master drive. Each duplicator comes bundled with a set of 2.5-inch mSATA flash drive kits that turn a mSATA SSD into a 2.5-inch SATA SSD. Depending on model, the user can mix and match the mSATA SSD and 2.5-inch SATA hard drive, or the mSATA SSD and micro SATA drive in the duplicator, which makes it a handy tool for transferring the content between the mSATA card and 2.5-inch hard drive or the mSATA card and micro SATA drive. These stand-alone duplicators offer a distinct advantage because they do not tie up computer resources. They are also operating system independent with a maximum copying speed of 90 MB/sec depending on the media. To start copying, just open the drive bays, load the master media into the source bay, and load equal or larger capacity target media into the target bay. The result is an exact sector-by-sector duplicate including the master boot record. The cloned drive works just like the original. Models include: 1:5 Combo mSATA SSD HDD Duplicator (MSHDUS5); 1:5 mSATA /micro SATA SSD Duplicator (MSDU5); 1:9 Combo mSATA SSD HDD Duplicator (MSHDUS9HS); and 1:11 mSATA /micro SATA SSD Duplicator (MSDU11). The Duplicators allow the user to copy 5, 9 or 11 drives at one time (depending on the model) from mSATA SSD, 2.5-inch SATA HDD, or a smicro SATA HDD/SSD. Drives are easily added or removed without tools. By using optional micro SATA-CF or CFast adapters with the 1:5 and 1:11 models, the duplicators can also be used as a CF or CFast card duplicator. The MSRP starts at $849 for the 1:5 model to $1499 for the 1:11 mSATA /micro SATA SSD duplicator.
Addonics Technologies, Inc. announced the Mini HDD Duplicator Station, a compact storage device that is about the size of a desktop computer power supply. The feature rich storage device is designed to be used as a simple 1:1 HDD/SSD duplicator or as a fast USB 3.0 docking device for up to two SATA hard drives. It is a convenient tool for transferring data between different types of hard drives and flash memory cards as well as for cloning hard drives or making back up hard drives. It operates silently without the need for a cooling fan. When used as a duplicator, the user simply insert the master hard drive into the SOURCE slot and the destination drive into the TARGET slot. User then press the CLONE button and the duplication process starts automatically. All the content, including boot sector and partition table on the master drive, will be copied onto the destination drive sector by sector. The SOURCE and the TARGET drive slots are designed to accommodate standard 3.5" or 2.5" SATA hard drives, SSDs, or the Addonics family of 2.5" Flash drives. If used as a fast USB 3.0 docking station, the two drives in the SOURCE and TARGET drive slots can be connected to any computer via the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port or the High Speed USB 2.0 port.
Addonics Technologies, Inc. announced the USB HDD/Flash Duplicator, a USB device designed to operate as a stand-alone appliance for copying data from a single USB drive onto multiple USB drives at one time. The USB HDD duplicator comes in a choice of three models that duplicate data onto 7, 15 or 31 targets. The new duplicator is an ideal tool for distributing content on flash drive, flash card or USB hard drives. The source and target can be any USB storage -- hard drive, thumb drive or any flash card inserted into a USB flash reader, which makes this family of duplicators a convenient tool for transferring content between hard drives, flash drives and different type of flash media. The 1:7 USB duplicator copies up to as many as seven USB drives at one time from a single USB source. Each USB port is designed to provide adequate power to operate all self-powered USB storage devices, including most 2.5" USB hard drives. There is no computer or software needed. Simply attach the master USB drive to the source USB port and other USB drives into any target USB ports, press the copy button, and the duplication process starts automatically. Users can also automatically encrypt data copied onto any USB drive by adding the optional Addonics CipherUSB inline to the target USB port. The new stand-alone product has a sturdy metal frame construction and a built-in LCD display and control panel. The USB HDD duplicator requires no computer or software. It is also compatible with USB 3.0 /2.0 and will support any type of file format. The 1:7 model is also compact and weighs just over seven pounds. The MSRP of the Addonics USB HDD/Flash Duplicators are: $735 for the 1:7 (model UDFH7), $1,445 for the 1:15 (model UDFH15) and $2,799 for the 1:31 (model UDFH31).
