The%20shareholders%20of%20Semiconductor%20Manufacturing%20International%20Corp.%20%28SEHK%3A981%29%20authorized%20a%20share%20repurchase%20program%20at%20its%20Annual%20General%20Meeting%20on%20June%2013%2C%202013.%20Under%20the%20program%2C%20the%20company%20will%20repurchase%20up%20to%20199%2C477%2C200%20shares%2C%20representing%2010%25%20of%20its%20issued%20share%20capital.%20The%20repurchases%20will%20be%20in%20accordance%20with%20laws%20and%20requirements%20and%20regulations%20of%20the%20Stock%20Exchange%20of%20Hong%20Kong%20Limited%20or%20on%20any%20other%20stock%20exchange%20on%20which%20the%20shares%20of%20the%20company%20may%20be%20listed%20and%20recognized%20by%20the%20Securities%20and%20Futures%20Commission%20of%20Hong%20Kong%20and%20the%20Stock%20Exchange%20for%20this%20purpose%2C%20subject%20to%20and%20in%20accordance%20with%20all%20applicable%20laws%20and%20the%20requirements%20of%20the%20Listing%20Rules%20or%20of%20any%20other%20stock%20exchange%20as%20amended%20from%20time%20to%20time.%20The%20repurchases%20will%20be%20made%20out%20of%20funds%20which%20are%20legally%20available%20for%20such%20purpose%20in%20accordance%20with%20the%20Memorandum%20and%20Articles%20of%20Association%20of%20the%20company%2C%20the%20Listing%20Rules%20and%20the%20applicable%20laws%20of%20the%20Cayman%20Islands.%20The%20purpose%20of%20this%20repurchase%20program%20is%20to%20enhance%20the%20net%20asset%20value%20and/or%20the%20earnings%20per%20share%20of%20the%20company.%20The%20directors%20believe%20that%20it%20is%20in%20the%20best%20interests%20of%20the%20company%20and%20its%20shareholders.%20The%20share%20repurchase%20program%20will%20be%20valid%20until%20the%20earliest%20of%20the%20conclusion%20of%20the%20next%20Annual%20General%20Meeting%20or%20the%20expiration%20of%20the%20period%20within%20which%20the%20next%20Annual%20General%20Meeting%20of%20the%20company%20is%20required%20by%20the%20articles%20of%20association%20of%20the%20company%20or%20any%20applicable%20laws%20to%20be%20held%20or%20the%20date%20on%20which%20the%20authority%20set%20out%20in%20this%20resolution%20is%20revoked%20or%20varied%20by%20an%20ordinary%20resolution%20in%20general%20meeting%20of%20the%20company.%20As%20of%20June%2013%2C%202013%2C%20the%20company%20has%201%2C994%2C772%2C000%20shares%20outstanding.
