CLP Holdings Ltd. Reports Consolidated Earnings Results for the Six Months of 2014; Increase Interim Dividend for the Year 2014

CLP Holdings Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the six months of 2014. For the period, the company reported operating earnings of HKD 4,768 million, up 22% from the same period last year. Total earnings, which also includes the one-off adjustments associated with the CAPCO and PSDC acquisitions, were up by 78% to HKD 6,721 million. Funds from operations were HKD 7.2 billion or a 26% increase. Organic capital expenditure accounted to HKD 3.2 billion in Hong Kong, which is a 10% increase as well compared to the first half of last year. The board has decided to increase the interim dividends to HKD 0.54 per share, which takes the total interim dividend to HKD 1.08 per share for the half.
