XAC Automation Corp. Announces xCE-50 “chip and PIN” Solution for Smartphones and Tablets

XAC Automation Corp. introduced a new mobile payment device to its line of “cloud based” solutions. The xCE-50 is a “chip and PIN” peripheral that secures payments for a variety of smartphones and tablets. The xCE-50 features an integrated Magnetic Card Reader (MSR), an EMV L1 chip reader, and a PCI3.x PIN pad with a 5x3 keypad design. The xCE-50 leverages XAC’s global safety regulatory compliant design and its Global security design meets APCA, GBIC, and CC security requirements. The xCE-50 is also compliant to PCI’s P2PE and can be SRED certified for secure end-to-end EMV transactions. Measuring 82mm (L) x 67mm (W) and 19 mm (H), the xCE-50’s compact design makes it easy to connect to iOS or Android devices via its 35mm audio-jack interface. The xCE-50 will be the new “entry level” device in XAC’s product family of “cloud based” payment solutions. The other devices also include the xCE-100NP which features MSR/EMV L1 and L2/PCI3.1x PIN pad/NFC and the xCE-100 which also adds a printer to the features available in the xCE-100NP. Both xCE100 devices connect to iOS or Android phones and tablets via Bluetooth. XAC’s reseller partners can use the xCE-50, xCE100NP, and xCE100 devices to secure transactions in phone or tablet payment applications.
