Saudi Arabian Mining Co. Reports Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ended September 30, 2014

Saudi Arabian Mining Co. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company's net profit was SAR 485.4 million compared to SAR 1.43 billion in the same period a year. Operating profit rose to SAR 694 million from SAR 96 million a year earlier due to a 96% increase in sales to SAR 3.15 billion and reduced costs. For the nine-month period through September net income decreased 43% on the year to SAR 981 million despite a 72% rise in gross profit.
