The company also provides bars and wire rods products comprising steel bars, bars in coil, wire rods, and coil burn steel bars; C shaped steel secondary products, round and square pipes, pattern satin steel pipes, and high-strength bolts; and billets, by-products, etc. Its engineering activities include general construction, including factories and warehouses, general buildings, and seismic reinforcement work; marine construction; rolls, valves, and castings; and plant engineering. In addition, the company buys, leases, and sells real estate; and offers industrial chemicals. Nakayama Steel Works, Ltd. was founded in 1923 and is headquartered in Osaka, Japan.

Nakayama Steel Works, Ltd. to Receive ¥60.2 billion Debt Waiver; Announces Executive Changes

Struggling Nakayama Steel Works Ltd. announced a business restructuring plan featuring a waiver of ¥60.2 billion in loans from some 40 creditors including Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ. Under the plan, Regional Economy Vitalization Corp. of Japan, a public-private fund, will also support the midsize Japanese steelmaker by purchasing some loans of the company. Nakayama Steel President Hiromu Fujii will step down to take responsibility for the fate, and Shunichi Morita, former managing director of rival steelmaker Toyo Kohan Ltd., will replace Fujii in June to take charge of out-of-court rehabilitation procedures.
