Its property management services include facilities management, security services, cleanliness and hygiene, financial management, staff training, client communication, public affairs, maintenance and repairs, building survey, car park management, and club house management. In addition, the company operates as a manager of real estate investment trust; and offers investment management, treasury management, and financing services, as well as provides project procurement services to hotel owners and operators. Great Eagle Holdings Limited was founded in 1963 and is headquartered in Wanchai, Hong Kong.

City sources and The Times newspaper have reported that Great Eagle Holdings Ltd. (SEHK:41) has emerged as a surprise frontrunner in the £450 million plus auction of De Vere Group Ltd.'s Village Urban Resorts chain (De Vere Village Urban Resorts). Great Eagle is understood to be up against Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (NYSE:KKR) and KSL Capital Partners, LLC, as the final round of bidding kicks off this week. Sources suggest the auction of the 25 Village hotels, which is being handled by JPMorgan Cazenove, attracted around 20 bids, with offers in the second round being pitched at between £450 million and £470 million.

Based on core balance sheet, book value per share as on June 2014 was HKD 88.2 against HKD 89.6 as of December 2012. Net rental income was HKD 134.3 million against HKD 92.4 million a year ago. Hotel EBITDA was HKD 202.9 million against HKD 442.9 million a year ago. Operating income from core business was HKD 1,101.5 million against HKD 1,092.0 million a year ago. Core profit before tax was HKD 1,013.5 million against HKD 840.6 million a year ago. Core profit after tax was HKD 966.7 million against HKD 780.8 million a year ago. Core profit after tax attributable to equity holders were HKD 965.5 million against HKD 780.2 million a year ago. Net rental income based on statutory accounting principles was HKD 134.3 million against HKD 92.4 million a year ago. Hotel EBITDA based on statutory accounting principles was HKD 514.1 million against HKD 497.2 million a year ago. Operating income based on statutory accounting principles was HKD 1,703.6 million against HKD 1,538.9 million a year ago. Statutory profit before tax was HKD 867.2 million against HKD 2,049.1 million a year ago. Profit for the period attributable to owners of the company was HKD 472,803,000 or HKD 0.72 per share compared to HKD 1,272,332,000 or HKD 2.00 per share a year ago.
