Happinet Corporation and Inception Media Group, LLC announced the launch of HAPPINET's newly created Manga2.5 digital media format, which is now available exclusively on the iTunes Store: www.itunes.com. Manga2.5 is the first-ever high-definition English-language 'motion comic' made from traditional Japanese manga. Manga2.5 brings traditional manga to life by maintaining each and every frame and integrating English language acting, animation, motion, coloring and sound. Through Inception Media Group, Manga2.5 is now available on the iTunes Store in many countries around the world including the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and South Africa. Manga2.5 launched with two titles: Karasuma Kyoko No Jikenbo. Both Manga2.5 versions are now available exclusively on the iTunes Store for download-to-own (EST) and download-to-rent (VOD) in both standard and high-definition. A third Manga2.5 title, 'Otogi-Soushi' by Yumi Amachi is a fantasy manga based on ancient Japanese gods' adventures and is scheduled for release in March. HAPPINET will continue collaborating with Japanese manga publishers in order to release additional Manga2.5 titles monthly throughout 2013.

Happinet Corporation reported consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the period, the company reported net sales of JPY 137,683 million against JPY 157,618 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 2,982 million against JPY 4,832 million a year ago. Ordinary income was JPY 3,076 million against JPY 4,977 million a year ago. Income before income taxes and minority interests was JPY 2,966 million against JPY 4,293 million a year ago. Net income was JPY 1,995 million against JPY 2,358 million a year ago. Diluted net income per share was JPY 88.83. The company expects year end dividend of JPY 11.25 per share for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2013. The company paid year end dividend of JPY 16.25 per share for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2012. For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2013, the company expects net sales of JPY 170,000 million, operating income of JPY 2,900 million, ordinary income of JPY 3,000 million, net income of JPY 1,800 million and net income per share of JPY 80.35.
