Boyaa Interactive International Limited Reports Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2014

Boyaa Interactive International Limited reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2014. For the second quarter, the company reported revenue of CNY 236.32 million against CNY 159.53 million reported last year. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was at CNY 75.60 million compared to CNY 30.160 million reported last year. Non-IFRS adjusted net profit was at CNY 82.07 million against CNY 53.02 million reported last year. The year-on-year increase was mainly due to the increase in paying players from 539,000 in the three months ended 30 June 2013 to 1,618,000 in the same period in 2014, mainly as a result of effective monetization measures, as indicated by the increase in ARPPU of Texas Hold'em and Fight the Landlord through the increase in the paying players' in game purchases and the number of rounds of game played. Operating profit was at CNY 91.32 million against CNY 39.50 million reported last year. Profit before income tax was at CNY 91.23 million against CNY 37.19 million reported last year. Earnings per share were at CNY 10.32 per diluted share against CNY 6.79 per diluted share last year. For the first half, the company reported revenue of CNY 458 million, growing 48.2% over CNY 308.9 million reported a year earlier. The increase in revenue was primarily driven by the increase in paying players, mainly as a result of company's effective monetization measures, as indicated by the increase in ARPPU of Texas Hold'em and Fight the Landlord through the increase in the paying players' in game purchases and the number of rounds of game played. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company was at CNY 138 million, growing 96.5% from CNY 70.16 million reported last year. Mobile game revenue hit CNY 241 million, surging 159.6% over CNY 92.833 million in the same period of a year earlier. Wet game revenue hit CNY 217 million, growing 0.4% over CNY 216 million in the same period of a year earlier. Non-IFRS adjusted net profit was at CNY 153.82 million against CNY 103.93 million reported last year. For the six months ended 30 June 2014, capital expenditure amounted to approximately CNY 13.0 million against approximately CNY 1.7 million reported last year. Operating profit was at CNY 162.96 million against CNY 90.57 million reported last year. Profit before income tax was at CNY 166.02 million against CNY 84.4 million reported last year. Earnings per share were at CNY 18.79 per diluted share against CNY 15.50 per diluted share last year. Net cash generated from operating activities was at CNY 115.96 million against CNY 89.85 million reported last year.
