Cairo Communication SpA reported earnings results for the first half of 2009. The company booked EUR 5.7 million (USD 8.03 millin) in net profit for the first half of 2009, down by 19.7% on the year. Cairo Communication SpA is not planning to buy RCS magazines from RCS MediaGroup SpA. Cairo denied making contacts with RCS for the possible acquisitions, ADP News reported on March 24, quoting Chairman Urbano Cairo. The Chairman said that the group does not plan to buy or launch any publications this year.
