Its products range comprises electrical, automation, and cables, including electrical installation products, enclosures and fans, control gears, process controls, relays, switches, and indicators, as well as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and security products; electronic components, and power and connector products, such as batteries, power supplies, transformers, connectors, semiconductors and optoelectronics, passives, development hardware, and ESD handling products; and mechanical products and tools comprising mechanical components, hardware, plumbing and hosing products, pneumatics and hydraulics, tools and tool storage products, workshop consumables, and workshop and site equipment. The company also offers information technology, test, and safety equipment products, including books, software, office supplies and labeling equipment, audit visual equipment, information technology, test and measurement products, personal protective equipment, and site safety products. Electrocomponents plc sells its products through catalogues and trade counters, as well as online primarily to electronics or maintenance engineers. The company was founded in 1928 and is based in Oxford, the United Kingdom.
