The company offers various IT products, including peripherals, systems, software, networking, and others. Its peripheral products comprise printers, scanners, displays, projectors, monitors, panels, mass storage, and tape; systems products include servers, desktops, portable and tablet personal computers, and personal digital assistants; and software products consist of business application software, operating system software, entertainment software, middleware, developer software tools, security software, and storage software. The networking products include networking hardware comprising switches, hubs, routers, wireless local area networks, wireless wide area networks, network interface cards, cellular data cards, network-attached storage, and storage area networks; communication products consisting of voice over Internet protocol communications, modems, phone systems, and video/audio conferencing; and network security hardware products. The other products comprise large format LCD and plasma displays, enclosures, mounts, media players, content software, content creation, content hosting, and installation services; processors, motherboards, hard drives, and memory; ink and toner supplies, paper, carrying cases, and anti-glare screens; cell phones, digital cameras, digital video disc players, game consoles, and televisions; and barcode/card printers, AIDC scanners, AIDC software, and wireless infrastructure products. The company also provides supply chain services, technical support, financial services, sales and marketing services, eCommerce services, and licensing solutions. It markets its products and services through sales representatives, resellers, and distributors. As of January 3, 2009, the company had 108 distribution centers. Ingram Micro Inc. was founded in 1979 and is headquartered in Santa Ana, California.

Ingram Micro Inc. announced a new business relationship with NEXCOM International Co. Ltd. As part of the new U.S. distribution agreement, Ingram Micro's Digital Signage Division will provide its channel partners a wide range of industrial strength media players including the NDiS120, NDiS120-A, NDiS162, NDiS163, NDiS540 and NDiS541. The alliance marks the first broadline distribution agreement for NEXCOM and strengthens the Ingram Micro Digital Signage Division's position as a premier source for complete, end-to-end digital signage solutions. NEXCOM provides a full complement of feature-rich media players, including a new high-speed, high-definition (HD) model incorporating AMD Athlon(TM) Quad Core processors and offering the capability to power up four 720P or 1080P monitors. Game-changing products such as these highlight the escalating demand for digital signage as a promotional medium of choice in industries such as retail, sports and education.
Ingram Micro Inc. announced its ongoing global support of Cisco's data center strategy, which includes the recent launch of its Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System) portfolio. The new Cisco UCS portfolio which consists of the B-series blade servers and C-series rack-mount servers, as well as, additional storage, networking and virtualization products are available to qualified Cisco channel partners worldwide from Ingram Micro. In support of the new technologies, Ingram Micro's technical support teams have begun a targeted education and enablement series tailored to its solution provider partners on Cisco's UCS Portfolio and the importance of the data center.
