JetBlue Airways Corporation announced that on November 12, 2009, the Board of Directors approved a policy by which a director who receives more 'withheld' votes than 'for' votes in an uncontested election of directors shall submit a resignation to the Board. The Board will either accept the resignation or disclose its reasons for not accepting the resignation in a report filed with the Commission within 90 days of the certification of election results. The policy is embedded in the company’s governance guidelines and in its amended Article III of the bylaws.

JetBlue Airways Corporation reported traffic results for the month and year to date ended October 2009. For the month, revenue passenger miles increased 7.2% to 2,017,030,000 from 1,882,211,000 reported in the same period a year ago. Available seat miles increased 7.1% to 2,496,889,000 against 2,331,569,000 reported last year. Revenue passengers increased 7.5% to 1,726,752 from 1,606,354 reported last year. Load factor was 80.8% against 80.7% reported last year. For the year to date period, revenue passenger miles decreased 1.9% to 21,629,435,000 from 22,049,651,000 reported in the same period a year ago. Available seat miles decreased 0.7% to 27,067,236,000 against 27,263,149,000 reported last year. Revenue passengers increased 1.6% to 18,719,855 from 18,418,512 reported last year. Load factor was 79.9% against 80.9% reported last year.

Fenway Sports Group (FSG) announced it has secured JetBlue Airways Corporation as the official airline of Boston College Athletics. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. JetBlue is also offering a 10% discount off all flights to or from Boston for travel through Dec. 16, 2009. As part of the agreement, JetBlue will partner with the Boston College Alumni Association and offer special rates for BC Reunion Weekend 2010.
