The company offers various consumer electronics products, including high-definition multimedia interface transmitters and receivers, as well as products that connect PCs to digital displays. It also offers storage controllers, bridges, and processors. The company offers its products to original equipment manufacturers, consumer electronics, computing, display, storage, mobile, and networking equipment manufacturers. Silicon Image sells its products through direct sales force, distributors, and manufacturer’s representatives. The company was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California with additional offices in China, Germany, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.

Capital expenditures were $0.6 million compared to $1 million for third quarter of 2008. For the full year of 2009, the company expects a GAAP net loss in the range of approximately $145 million to $150 million. The company expect to be able to breakeven with approximately $165 million in annual revenue with an overall gross margin of 55%.
