The company operates in two segments, Distribution Services and Global Business Services (GBS).The Distribution Services segment distributes computer systems, peripherals, system components, software, networking equipment, and complementary products to various customers, such as value-added resellers, system integrators, and retailers, as well as provides assembly services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), including integrated supply chain management, build-to-order and configure-to-order system configurations, materials management, and logistics. The GBS segment offers various services comprising customer management, software development, web hosting, hosted software, domain name registration, and back office processing. This segment delivers its services through voice, chat, Web, email, and digital print. It also sells products complementary to these service offerings in China. In addition, SYNNEX Corporation offers various financial services, including net terms, third party leasing and floor plan financing, letters of credit, and arrangements to collect payments directly from the end-user; online services; and marketing services, as well as technical support services consisting of pre and post-sales support. The company serves resellers, retailers, and OEMs located worldwide. SYNNEX Corporation, formerly known as SYNNEX Information Technologies, Inc., was founded in 1980 is headquartered in Fremont, California.

SYNNEX Corp. announced the launch of flexSource, a newly created division to offer companies a full turn-key logistics solution to address the needs of large volume or specialty logistics services. The flexSource offering combines logistics acumen, transportation expertise and a rich menu of value-added services, to provide a complete third party supply chain solution that creates efficiencies throughout the logistics process and eliminates pressure points along the logistics lifecycle. By leveraging its existing facilities and IT systems, flexSource can improve the profitability of companies utilizing its services. The flexSource full turn-key service offering is modular in nature and covers all aspects of the logistics lifecycle. capabilities include: transportation Management; inventory optimization; complementary product matching; reverse logistics asset refurbishment and disposal; business process outsourcing services; and strategic procurement.
SYNNEX Corp. launched the SYNNEX software-as-a-service (SaaS) portal to support the adoption of SaaS applications throughout the reseller community. The SYNNEX SaaS portal offers resellers the ability to provision the usage of software as a hosted offering for their end customers and provides the flexibility to manage all aspects of the procurement cycle in a dynamic, real-time environment. Capabilities available through the SYNNEX SaaS portal are Quote on Demand--Offering VARs an automatically generated web-quote of the MSRP and associated cost with a transaction. Contract Creation and Customization in a centralized online environment, allowing VARs to adapt their end user's environment in real-time. Aggregation point for more than 10 hosted software-plus-service solutions.
