For the quarter, the company reported net income available to common stockholders of $17,451,000 against $30,126,000 a year ago. Diluted net income per common share was $0.14 against $0.24 a year ago. Return on average assets was 0.39% against 0.73% a year ago. Return on average common equity was 6.03% against 11.11% a year ago. Net interest income was $161,489,000 against $152,165,000 a year ago. Book value per common share was $9.14. The increase in net interest income was primarily due to an increase in average loans and leases, partially offset by a decrease in net interest margin.
