For the period, the company reported interest income of CAD 25,000 compared to CAD 165,000 for the same period last year. Income from investment lending was CAD 1,937,000 compared to CAD 2,425,000 for the same period last year. Decrease in net assets from operations before taxes was CAD 71,909,000 compared to CAD 28,510,000 for the same period last year. Decrease in net assets from operations after taxes was CAD 63,049,000 or CAD 0.80 basic and diluted per share compared to CAD 24,080,000 or CAD 0.34 basic and diluted per share for the same period last year. Net cash used in operating activities was CAD 434,000 compared to CAD 1,564,000 for the same period last year. Net asset value increased from $541.4 million at February 28, 2009 to $578.6 million at August 31, 2009 with net asset value per common share decreasing from $7.49 to $6.75 over the six month period.
