inVentiv Health, Inc. announced unaudited consolidated financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2009. Total revenues decreased 6% to $270.5 million for the third quarter of 2009, compared to $289.2 million for the third quarter of 2008. Adjusted EBITDA decreased 12% to $32.6 million for the third quarter of 2009, compared to $37.2 million for the third quarter of 2008. Adjusted operating income decreased 13% to $24.3 million for the third quarter of 2009, compared to $27.8 million for the third quarter of 2008. GAAP operating income was $24.6 million for the third quarter of 2009, compared to $27.6 million for the third quarter of 2008. Adjusted Net income attributable to inVentiv Health, Inc. was $11.5 million for the third quarter of 2009, compared to adjusted net income of $13.6 million for the third quarter of 2008. Net income attributable to inVentiv Health, Inc., was $11.7 million for the third quarter of 2009, compared to $13.3 million for the third quarter of 2008. Adjusted diluted earnings per share (EPS) attributable to inVentiv Health, Inc. was $0.34 for the third quarter of 2009 and GAAP diluted EPS was $0.35, compared to an adjusted diluted EPS of $0.41 for the third quarter of 2008 and GAAP diluted EPS of $0.40 for the third quarter of 2008.
