Diedrich Coffee Inc. has initiated a transition plan with respect to the company's chief executive officer. Under the transition plan, Mr. Phillips will remain as the CEO of the company to assist in the recruitment of his successor and to effect an orderly transition. The company has retained Korn/Ferry International to lead the search for a new CEO, which is underway.

The CFO of Korn/Ferry International, Michael A. DiGregorio,said in an interview with Business Today that India was one of the markets he is most bullish about. He said, “The Asia Pacific market, including India, accounts for 40% of our revenues. We are looking at investing in human capital and acquisition opportunities in India as part of our growth strategy. In June 2009, we took over Whitehead Mann, one of the UK's bestknown headhunting companies. We are looking at similar strategic advantages in India.”

Korn/Ferry International announced that Linda Madrid has joined the firm's D.C. office as senior client partner in the legal center of expertise. In this role, she will focus on legal and compliance executive searches for a wide range of world-class publicly and privately held companies, premier law firms and academic and nonprofit clients. Madrid joins Korn/Ferry from Fannie Mae, where she served as senior vice president and deputy general counsel. Previously, she spent eight years with CarrAmerica Realty Corp., serving in multiple roles, including managing director, general counsel, chief compliance officer and corporate secretary. Before joining CarrAmerica, Madrid was with Riggs National Corp., where she served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. She began her career as a commercial litigator practicing at several law firms, including Sidley & Austin.
