LG Electronics Introduces First QHD Phone

LG Electronics introduced its first QHD (Quad HD) phone, the LG G3, to the Kenyan market. The phone will be retailing at KRW 60,000. The G3 comes with an astounding resolution is one of the highest ever for a cell phone, measuring in at a 2560 x 1400 ratio with 538 pixels per square inch (PPI). Modern 1080p screens manage only 400 PPI and Apple's well received "Retina Display" contains only 326 PPI. The G3 boasts of 13MP OIS+ (Optical Image Stabilizer Plus) camera with a Laser Auto Focus that can shoot stunningly sharp images in a fraction of the time required by conventional phone cameras. The phone which was developed under the theme simple is the New Smartconcept comes with a fingerprint-proof metallic skin and four times the resolution of HD and almost two times higher resolution than a Full HD display. With a pixel density of 538ppi, the G3's Quad HD display sets new viewing standard producing images that are sharper and clearer than traditional smartphone displays. The G3's advanced 13MP OIS+ camera is designed to quickly and easily capture life's special moments as they occur, not necessarily when want them to occur. This is made possible with G3's innovative Laser Auto Focus, the first of its kind in the smartphone industry. This technology enables the G3 to capture the best moment even in low light by measuring the distance between the subject and the camera using a laser beam. With a pixel density of 538ppi, the G3's Quad HD display sets new viewing standard producing images that are sharper and clearer than traditional smartphone displays. At 5.5-inches, LG G3 boasts a screen ratio of 76.4% with thin bezels all around so the phone feels as comfortable in the hand as a smaller traditional smartphone. The company also simplified the process of actually capturing those special moments. Rather than having to focus on the subject in preview mode and then pressing the shutter button, with the G3, tapping the subject to focus will simultaneously also trigger the shutter. What's more, the G3's 2.1MP front camera incorporates several new enhancements such as a larger image sensor and larger aperture for more light throughput and better-looking selfies. A unique twist has been added to the standard timed selfie mode by incorporating gesture controls when ready to shoot, simply clench hand into a fist and the G3 will recognize the gesture and begin the automatic three-second countdown. It couldn't get any simpler than that. For video, the G3 offers superior sound quality with instinctive microphones that measure the environment to identify the optimal audio level for the clearest recording. And with the built-in 1W speaker with Boost AMP, users can enjoy videos and music accompanied by richer sounds and clearer tones. The Floating Arc design of the G3 with its ergonomic arch and slim side profile provides an extremely comfortable grip for everyday one-handed use. The company also refined sophisticated technical features and advancements located on the rear by arranging them in a clean and singular layout consistent with the G3's well-balanced design language. The stylish metallic skin with matte finish which keeps the G3 looking clean and fingerprint-free will be offered in five vibrant colors: Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Moon Violet and Burgundy Red.

LG Electronics Introduces New TrueStream Equipped Dishwasher

LG Electronics introduced its new TrueStream equipped dishwasher, or model D1494CF. The advanced dishwasher also features LG's SmartRack system with easily adjustable tines and UV lamp sanitization technology for greater user convenience and hygiene. The dishwasher's energy efficiency is made possible by LG's Inverter Direct Drive technology which optimizes the power needed for each load by directly transferring energy from the motor to the water spray system through a more simplified structure. Together with TrueSteam, which is activated when the dishwasher's Steam Power mode is engaged, high-temperature steam from pressurized nozzles is discharged to dislodge tough food particles from dishes and utensils. Temperature and pressure are managed by the built-in steam generator, which is powerful enough to virtually eliminate burnt or dried food residue. For dishware that require a softer touch, Steam Care mode offers a gentler cleaning solution. The dishwasher's Steam Dual Spray feature allows for different water pressure on the upper and lower racks, making it possible to wash both soft and hard food residues simultaneously, saving water and energy. After the wash cycle is completed, the dishwasher employs a high-tech UV lamp sanitization process to eliminate up to 99.9% of any remaining bacteria. This feature, together with LG's TrueSteam technology, provides more hygienic results and allows tableware to be left inside the dishwasher for up to four hours without any renewed bacteria growth. The UV sterilization cycle is programmed to run a second time if the dishwasher door has not been opened after two hours. LG's unique SmartRack system offers maximum flexibility and enables the dishwasher to accommodate a wide variety of odd-shaped bowls, pans, platters and other items. All three tiers are designed to hold different types of dishware: the lower rack is suitable for dishes, bowls, pots and pans while the middle rack is designed for cups and wineglasses. The upper rack is intended for smaller items such as espresso cups, utensils and kitchen tools. The height of the top rack is designed to be easily adjusted to make room for oversized utensils such as spatulas, whisks or salad tongs. All in all, the SmartRack system sets a new benchmark for loading convenience. Convenience is further enhanced with LG's Silence On technology, which employs multiple layers of sound dampening insulation to reduce the dishwasher's noise level to only 38dB. And with LG's Smart Diagnosis feature, customer service representatives can quickly and efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues, limiting costly and inconvenient service visits.
