West Holdings Corporation and Eversol Corp. entered into a memorandum of understanding to build a 50-megawatt solar power plant in Japan. The target completion of the project is on the fourth quarter of 2013. In fact, sometime in the latter part of 2011, West Holdings and Eversol established a joint venture called E-Solar Co. for the purpose of building a solar module factory in Matsuyama City in the Eihime Prefecture. The 95% automatic facility, which was completed in July, will manufacture highly efficient but low costing solar modules. It has been producing small runs of modules since November but will begin mass producing in 2013.
