Profit before taxation was RMB 2,834,539,000 compared to RMB 2,015,518,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit for the year was RMB 2,571,458,000 compared to RMB 1,756,573,000 for the same period a year ago. Profit for the year attributable to owners of the company was RMB 2,577,583,000 compared to RMB 1,762,625,000 for the same period a year ago. Earnings per basic share were 2.10 cents compared to 1.44 cents for the same period a year ago. During the year, the group made additions to property, plant and equipment of approximately RMB 865 million compared to RMB 1,293 million in 2012 on acquisition of property, plant and equipment, including transfers from deposits of approximately RMB 159 million compared to RMB 123 million in 2012. This proposed final dividend together with the interim dividend already paid amount to total dividends of HKD 1.08 representing a growth of 52.5% at an unchanged payout ratio of about 40% of the profit attributable to owners of the company for the year. Final dividend will be payable to shareholders of the company, whose names appear on the register of members of the company on May 30, 2014 and payable on or about June 10, 2014.
