ASUSTeK Computer Inc. has launched X99-E WS, a new compact electronics bay, or CEB, workstation motherboard based on the Intel X99 chipset and with support for four-way multi-GPU setups at full PCI Express 3.0 x16 speed for graphics power. X99-E WS is engineered with premium components for premium efficiency, including an integrated Driver-MOSFET (Dr MOS), exclusive Beat Thermal Chokes II, ultra-durable 12K capacitors and ProCool power connector. X99-E WS offers industry-leading storage opportunities with onboard M.2 x4 and support for the exclusive ASUS PIKE II (Proprietary I/O Kit Expansion) and ThunderboltEX II expansion cards. It also has many simple, efficient and ASUS-exclusive easy-maintenance tools, including Q-Code Logger and Dr Power. X99-E WS is equipped with seven PCI Express 3.0 slots and is able to accommodate up to four dual-slot graphics cards at x16 speed. Both four-way (quad-GPU) NVIDIA GeForce SLI and AMD CrossFireX. are supported, making X99-E WS an excellent choice for graphics professionals who depend on powerful graphics in areas such as design and modeling, or medical research. At a typical operating temperature of 65degrees C, 12K capacitors have an expected lifespan of 1.2m hours - or well over a century of real-world use. X99-E WS also employs ProCool, the ASUS-exclusive reinvented power connector. ProCool eliminates the hollow areas associated with traditional power connectors, ensuring an exceptionally close and secure connection with the motherboard. This design is much stronger, and it also benefits power efficiency: the flush connection enables lower impedance and better heat dissipation, allowing cooler operating temperatures. Strix R9 285 also features 0dB fan technology to let gamers enjoy total silence during light gameplay as well as Blu-ray movie playback free from distracting background noise. Strix R9 285 features exclusive ASUS Super Alloy Power components for enhanced durability and cooling, and GPU Tweak for overclocking and online streaming that is as simple as it is flexible. It also comes equipped with a DisplayPort interface to support connections up to 4K/UHD (ultra-high definition) resoluion. Strix R9 285 is factory-overclocked at 954MHz and is fitted with 2GB of high speed GDDR5 video memory. All this raw performance adds up to smoother, more-engaging and better overall gameplay experiences for players. Strix R9 285 features 0dB fan technology, an exclusive fan design that lets players enjoy light gaming sessions in total silence. As long as the GPU temperature remains below a set level, Strix R9 285 keeps its fan off, resulting in a totally-quiet gaming experience. Maximus VII Impact's exclusive innovations includes the Impact Power II full-scale voltage-regulator module (VRM) for ultra-smooth, ultra-reliable power, SupremeFX Impact II dedicated sound card for flawless audio, Intel Gigabit Ethernet and GameFirst III for no-lag networking with a winning advantage and the faster connectivity from the pre-installed mPCIe Combo IV module - dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi and PCI Express 3.0 M.2 x4.
