Shree Renuka Sugars Limited announced unaudited standalone earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended Dec. 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of INR 18,467 million, profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items of INR 1,411 million, profit from ordinary activities before tax of INR 260 million and net profit of INR 175 million or INR 0.26 per basic and diluted share compared to net sales of INR 6,970 million, profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items of INR 807 million, profit from ordinary activities before tax of INR 439 million and net profit of INR 291 million or INR 0.43 per basic and diluted share reported in the same period last year. Operating EBITDA was INR 1,852 million compared to INR 1,058 million a year ago. For the nine months, the company reported net sales of INR 44,850 million, profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items of INR 3,474 million, profit from ordinary activities before tax of INR 584 million and net profit of INR 385 million or INR 0.57 per basic and diluted share compared to net sales of INR 30,315 million, profit from operations before other income, finance costs and exceptional items of INR 2,245 million, profit from ordinary activities before tax of INR 274 million and net profit of INR 190 million or INR 0.28 per basic and diluted share reported in the same period last year.
