Aluminum Corporation of China Limited manufactures and distributes alumina and primary aluminum in the People’s Republic of China and internationally. Its Alumina segment is involved in the mining and purchase of bauxite and other raw materials, refining bauxite into alumina, and sale of alumina. This segment also produces and sells carbon products, aluminum alloy, and other aluminum products. Its Energy segment is involved in coal mining; electricity generation by thermal power, wind power, and solar power; and new energy related equipment manufacturing businesses, as well as construction and operation of coal aluminum integration. The company’s Trading segment is involved in trading of alumina, primary aluminum, aluminum fabrication products, other non-ferrous metal products, coal products, raw materials, and supplemental materials. In addition, Aluminum Corporation of China Limited is engaged in the production, acquisition, and distribution of limestone ore, aluminum magnesium ore, and related nonferrous metal products; and aluminum smelting, manufacture, and distribution of nonferrous metals. The company was founded in 2001 and is based in Beijing, the People's Republic of China. Aluminum Corporation of China Limited is a subsidiary of Aluminum Corporation of China.

Aluminum Corporation Of China Limited reported earnings and production results for the first half year of 2014. The company incurred CNY 2.49 billion losses in the first half, and the losses rose CNY 1.5 billion or 152.33% compared with CNY 986 million losses in the period last year. The company attributes the losses to an about 11% decline of product sales price. The company produced 6 million tons of alumina in the first half, down 1.48% year on year; it produced 910,000 tons of chemical alumina, up 19.73%; it produced 1.63 million tons of primary aluminum proudcts, down 19.7%; it produced 3.6 million tons of coal; it generated 5.5 billion kilowatt hours of electric power. The company predicts that it would incur losses in the first three quarters this year 2014 as electrolytic aluminum output exceeds demands.

Aluminum Corporation Of China Limited to Form Joint Venture with Hangzhou Jinjiang Group Co.,Ltd

Aluminum Corporation of China Limited has entered into an agreement to form a joint venture (JV) with Hangzhou Jinjiang Group Co. Ltd. Both the companies are based in China. The new JV, Guizhou Huajin Aluminum Co. Ltd. will engage in the construction and operation of Qingzhen alumina project. Aluminum Corporation and Hangzhou Jinjiang will contribute CNY 600 million ($97.40 million) and CNY 400 million ($64.93 million), respectively for registered capital of the JV. Upon the establishment of the JV, Aluminum Corporation and Hangzhou Jinjiang will hold 60% and 40% equity interest respectively in the JV.
