Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. operates as a live entertainment company. The company operates through Concerts, Ticketing, Artist Nation, and Sponsorship & Advertising segments. The Concerts segment promotes live music events in its owned and/or operated venues, and in rented third-party venues; operates and manages music venues; and produces music festivals. The Ticketing segment operates an agency business that sells tickets for its events and third-party clients across various live event categories through its Websites, telephone, mobile apps, and ticket outlets. This segment provides ticketing services for arenas, stadiums, amphitheaters, music clubs, concert promoters, professional sports franchises and leagues, college sports teams, performing arts venues, museums, and theaters. The Artist Nation segment offers management and other services to music artists; and sells merchandise associated with musical artists at live performances to retailers and directly to consumers through the Internet. The Sponsorship & Advertising segment provides online advertising services; and online sponsorship programs for corporate clients. As of December 31, 2013, the company owned, operated, or leased 85 entertainment venues and 100 other facilities in North America; and 28 entertainment venues and 85 other facilities internationally. The company was formerly known as Live Nation, Inc. and changed its name to Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. in January 2010. Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. was incorporated in 2005 and is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California.

Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. Reports Un-Audited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended June 30, 2014; Provides Earnings Guidance for the Full Year 2014

Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. reported un-audited consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company’s revenue was $1,665,785,000 compared to prior year revenue of $1,679,513,000. The company reported operating income of $55,686,000 compared to $97,806,000, income before income taxes of $30,532,000 compared to $67,416,000, net income attributable to common stockholders of $22,934,000 or $0.11 per basic and diluted share compared to $58,130,000 or $0.30 per basic and diluted share, free cash flow of $76.2 million compared to $102.6 million and adjusted operating income of $142.0 million compared to $159.9 million for the last year. Free cash flow for the second quarter was $76 million versus $103 million last year with the decline coming from lower AOI and the timing of distributions to partners. For the first six months of 2014, revenue was $2,793,101,000 compared to $2,603,211,000 for the same period of 2013. The company reported operating income of $43,378,000 compared to $64,617,000, loss before income taxes of $1,620,000 compared to income before income taxes of $6,788,000, net loss attributable to common stockholders of $9,514,000 or $0.06 per basic and diluted share compared to $5,109,000 or $0.03 per basic and diluted share, net cash provided by operating activities of $338,470,000 compared to $380,347,000, purchases of property, plant and equipment of $66,388,000 compared to $76,685,000, purchases of intangible assets was $2,675,000 compared to $17,000, free cash flow of $109.7 million compared to $116.7 million and adjusted operating income of $224.6 million compared to $212.8 million for the last year. The company's total debt was $1.7 billion. For the first half of the year, free cash flow was $110 million as compared to $117 million last year, impacted by the timing of payments and non controlling interest shareholders, which were $16 million higher in the six months. Total capital expenditures year-to-date were $61 million with $32 million set for maintenance CapEx and $29 million on revenue-generating additions. The company expected growth in AOI for the full year, expect that free cash flow for the year as a percentage of AOI will be roughly in line with 2013, up from the levels have seen in 2011 and 2012. For the full year, CapEx is expected to be approximately $135 million, which is consistent with expected rate of about 2% of revenue, and around half of this will be spent on revenue-generating projects, including Ticketmaster technology products.
