This division also offers laminated products for use in the packaging of frozen food products and as protective coverings for IC substrates; shrink-wrap films for the packaging of food products, office supplies, toys, and cosmetics; bag-in-box and bag-in-drum liquid packs for use in the transportation of food products, and other liquids, such as chemicals; and functional films for farming applications. The company’s New Materials division provides polarized and phase contrast films for liquid crystal display panels; seamless belts that are used in the image transfer and paper feed mechanisms of office equipment, such as copiers and printers; grindstones for finishing stone and metal; and urethane film, which is used as a material for interior components for automobiles, such as headrests and armrests, as well as for protective mats and healthcare products. Its Housing Materials division supplies materials used in constructing houses and making furniture, such as decorative panels; particleboards; storage material kits under the Closet Kit name; and house wrapping sheets under the NanoAce name. The company was formerly known as Shikoku Industry Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Okura Industrial Co., Ltd. in November 1955. Okura Industrial Co., Ltd. was founded in 1947 is headquartered in Marugame, Japan.
