Dah Sing Financial Holdings Limited, an investment holding company, provides banking, financial, and insurance services in Hong Kong, Macau, and China. The company operates through six segments: Personal Banking, Commercial Banking, Treasury, Overseas Banking, Insurance Business, and Others. The Personal Banking segment engages in the business of the acceptance of deposits from individual customers, extension of residential mortgage lending, personal loans, overdraft and credit card services, and provision of insurance sales and investment services. The Commercial Banking segment is involved in the acceptance of deposits from, and the advance of loans and working capital finance to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers; and provision of trade financing. This segment also engages in hire purchase finance; and leasing related to equipment, vehicle, and transport financing. The Treasury segment is involved in the provision of foreign exchange services and centralized cash management for deposit taking and lending; interest rate risk management; and management of investment in securities. The Overseas Banking segment provides in personal and commercial banking products and services in Macau and China. The Insurance Business segment is involved in life assurance and general insurance businesses. The Others segment engages in corporate investments and debt funding. The company also offers property investment, insurance broking, securities dealing, and money lending services. Dah Sing Financial Holdings Limited is based in Hong Kong, Hong Kong.

Dah Sing Financial Holdings Limited announced that at the forthcoming annual general meeting of the Company to be held 27 May 2014, the directors will propose a final dividend of HKD 0.91 per share for 2013 to shareholders whose names are on the Register of Shareholders as at the close of business on 11 June 2014. The final dividend is payable on or about 20 June 2014. The company reported audited consolidated earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2013. For the year, the company's interest income was HKD 4,148,636,000 compared to HKD 4,148,636,000 a year ago. Net interest income was HKD 3,107,948,000 compared to HKD 2,493,564,000 a year ago. Operating income was HKD 5,472,705,000 compared to HKD 5,368,405,000 a year ago. Operating profit before impairment losses was HKD 1,976,026,000 compared to HKD 1,367,305,000 a year ago. Operating profit after impairment losses was HKD 1,666,220,000 compared to HKD 1,223,624,000 a year ago. Profit before taxation was HKD 2,220,242,000 compared to HKD 1,860,691,000 a year ago. Profit attributable to shareholders of the company was HKD 1,498,459,000 or HKD 5.05 per basic and diluted share compared to profit attributable to shareholders of the company of HKD 1,301,324,000 or HKD 4.42 per basic and diluted share a year ago. The Board proposes to make certain amendments to the company's existing Memorandum and Articles of Association to align them with the new Companies Ordinance (Chapter 622 of the Laws of Hong Kong) which has come into effect on 3 March 2014. The proposed amendments to the Articles are subject to approval by shareholders by way of a special resolution at the forthcoming AGM.
