Hainan Intends To Acquire Stake In Grand China Airlines

HNA Group Limited’s Chairman, Chen Feng said that Hainan Airlines Co., Ltd. may look at acquiring a 5.561% stake in Grand China Airlines Holding Corp. Ltd. He said Hainan Airlines which is already a shareholder of Grand China Air, intends to increase its stake. He added that the company will step up offshore acquisitions as long as the time is ripe. On March 1, 2013, China Shenhua Energy Co. Ltd. put its 5.561% stake in Grand China Airlines up for sale for ¥1 billion ($161.3 million). The offer is valid till March 28, 2013. The 5.561% stake is valued at ¥960 million.
