China CITIC Bank Corporation Limited provides various financial products and services in the People’s Republic of China. The company operates in Corporate Banking, Personal Banking, and Treasury Business segments. The Corporate Banking segment offers corporate loans; is engaged in deposit taking activities; and provides trade financing, agency, remittance and settlement, and guarantee services to corporations, government agencies, and financial institutions. The Personal Banking segment offers personal loans, deposit services, and securities agency services to individual customers and small enterprises. The Treasury Business segment is involved in the treasury and interbank operations comprising inter-bank money market transactions and repurchase transactions; investment in debt instruments; and trading of debt instruments, derivatives, and foreign currencies. The company also provides asset management, finance leasing, and other non-banking financial services. As of December 31, 2013, it had 1,073 branch outlets in 116 large and medium-sized cities in the People’s Republic of China consisting of 42 tier-one branches; 69 tier-two branches; and 962 sub-branches. The company was founded in 1987 and is headquartered in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China. China CITIC Bank Corporation Limited is a subsidiary of CITIC Limited.

China CITIC Bank Corporation Ltd. Announces Unaudited Consolidated Earnings Results for the Six Months Ended June 30, 2014

China CITIC Bank Corporation Ltd. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the six months ended June 30, 2014. For the period, interest income was RMB 102,280 million against RMB 75,198 million for the last year. Net interest income was RMB 45,614 million against RMB 40,474 million for the last year. Operating income was RMB 62,101 million against RMB 50,074 million for the last year. Profit before tax was RMB 29,503 million against RMB 27,243 million for the last year. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the bank was RMB 22,034 million or RMB 0.47 per basic and diluted share against RMB 20,391 million or RMB 0.44 per basic and diluted share for the last year. Net cash flows from operating activities were RMB 90,072 million or RMB 1.93 per share against RMB 47,381 million or RMB 1.01 per share for the last year. Payments on acquisition of fixed assets, land use rights and other assets was RMB 1,102 million against RMB 1,041 million for the last year. Return on average assets was 1.14% against 1.30% a year ago. Return on average equity was 18.96% against 19.92% a year ago. Net asset per share attributable to the Bank's shareholders was RMB 5.11. The increase in interest income was primarily due to the continuous increase in interest-earning assets. The group realized net fee and commission income of RMB 12.807 billion representing an increase of RMB 4.830 billion or 60.55% year-on-year, of which fee and commission income amounted to RMB 13.497 billion up 57.29% year-on-year. This increase was primarily due to the rapid growth in multiple business including bank card fees, guarantee fees, wealth management service fees, commissions from custody and other trusted services. Weighted average return on net assets was 18.79%.
