Sanden Corporation manufactures and sells automotive systems, vending machines, retail systems, and living and environment systems and services primarily in Japan, the rest of Asia, Europe, and North America. Its automotive systems include swash plate, wobble plate, and scroll compressors; HVAC units for passenger cars, trucks, construction equipment vehicles, etc.; heat exchangers for engines, including oil coolers, MF type oil coolers, and serpentine type oil coolers; and heat exchangers for air-conditioning, such as evaporators, condensers, and heater cores. The company also offers vending machines for various merchandise, including cold beverages, milk beverages, coffee, tea, flex venders, ice-cream, cup-noodles, and others; and retail systems comprising open and closed refrigerators and freezers, multi temperature horizontal refrigerated display cabinets, and CFC-free display cabinets for use in various outlets, such as small-scale shops and shopping malls. In addition, it provides living and environment systems, such as central heating systems, oil heaters, bathroom dryers, road heating systems, hot water supply systems, heat pump floor heating systems, cooking heaters, far infrared radiant heating units, and other products; and wireless communication modems and other IT-related products. Further, Sanden Corporation is engaged in the marketing of dynamo bicycle lamps; development and operation of computer systems; warehousing and shipping activities; administration of plant facilities, supply of energy, and operation of welfare and training facilities; real estate business; marketing of automobiles; provision of agency services for real estate insurance, automobile insurance, etc.; and provision of human resource agency services. The company was formerly known as Sankyo Electric Co., Ltd. and changed its name to Sanden Corporation in October 1982. Sanden Corporation was founded in 1943 and is headquartered in Isesaki, Japan.
