TDK Corporation Introduces 800W High Voltage Models to TDK-Lambda's Z+ Series of Programmable DC Power Supplies

TDK Corporation announced the introduction of 800W high voltage models to TDK-Lambda's Z+ series of programmable DC power supplies. The series is now available with output voltages of 0-10, 0-20, 0-36, 0-60, 0-160, 0-320 and 0-650VDC with output powers of 200 to 800W. These higher voltages address the requirements for applications such as deposition processes, remotely operated underwater vehicles, ATE systems as well as general laboratory and industrial use. The TDK-Lambda Z+ 800W high voltage models have the same features and compact dimensions (2U high and 2.76 wide) as the existing models and achieve efficiencies of up to 89%. The units can operate in either constant current or constant voltage modes and accept a universal 85-265VAC input. Up to 6 units can be connected in parallel (master-slave configuration), or 2 identical units in series with external diodes. All models can be programmed via the front panel controls or remotely using the USB, RS232/485 or analog control interfaces. Optional LAN, GPIB (IEEE488) and isolated analog programming interfaces are also available.

TDK Corp. Launches SMG4A Series of Industrial mSATA Type Modules

TDK Corp. presents the new SMG4A series of serial ATA II compatible industrial NAND flash memory modules, which enable storage capacities of up to 128 GB and measure only approximately 30 x 50 mm. The product will be available from January 2015. The new SMG4A series does not only feature the power failure tolerance algorithm of TDK's own GBDriver RS4 controller IC, it also features TDK's internal power supply protection circuit that reliably prevents any power failure related collateral errors. Further advantages provided by TDK's GBDriver RS4 include enhanced ECC and other functions significantly bolstering data reliability, such as read retry, auto recovery, data randomizer, and auto refresh. In addition, service life diagnosis software (TDK SMART) facilitates quantitative lifespan management. With the introduction of the new series, TDK can complement its existing SMG3B series and expands the product range of mSATA type NAND modules. Main features and benefitsIncludes; TDK's GBDriver RS4 NAND Flash Memory Controller, High-Speed Access: Compliant with Serial ATA Revision 2.6 Specification. Compatible with SATA Gen. 1 (1.5Gbps), Gen. 2 (3.0 Gbps), and NCQ commands. Supports read access speeds up to 215 MByte/second and write access speeds up to 95 MByte/second with no DRAM or other cache while maintaining high reliability, Global Static Wear Leveling, Improved Power Interruption Tolerance, Enhanced ECC Function, Read Retry Function, Data Randomizer Function, Error Recovery, Security Functions: AES 128-bit encryption, Protection function, TDK's proprietary security function, ATA Trim Command and Support for SMART Command.
