Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. operates in ship and ocean, machinery and systems, and engineering businesses worldwide. Its Ship & Ocean segment offers bulk, ore, oil product, LNG, LPG, and pure car carriers; container, cargo, naval, and ocean surveillance ships; and crude oil tankers, reefers, patrol and training vessels, fishery patrol boats, various fishing boats and work vessels, passenger crafts, high speed passenger/vehicle ferries, and semi-submerged underwater viewing boats. This segment also provides oil drilling rigs, oil production platforms, floating production storage offloading vessels, defense-related equipment/facilities, naval craft installing systems, remotely operated underwater vehicles, underwater TV vehicles, floating structures, bridge business, mooring berths, floating breakwater, and offshore structures, as well as ship operation support services. The company’s Machinery segment offers marine and stationary diesel engines, marine equipment, gas engines, steam turbines, blowers, process compressors, industrial boilers, process equipment, induction heaters, mechatronics equipment, production equipment for semiconductors, container cranes, industrial cranes, and container terminal management systems. Its Engineering segment provides petro-chemical, oil refinery, inorganic and fertilizer, waste treatment, water treatment, gas disposal, PCB disposal, resources recycling, and biomass power generation plants; and overseas civil works, storage tanks and facilities with special structures, steel frame structures, wind farms, gas turbines, co-generation systems, and power systems. The company also offers information/communication related equipment, systems development, logistics services, and transport equipment, as well as portal services for ship navigation systems; and is involved in real estate leasing and management businesses. Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. was founded in 1917 and is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
