Symmetry Electronics Corp. signed a distribution agreement with IBASE Technolgy Inc. IBASE offers various single board computers with: ATX, Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX form factors, industrial motherboards, and stand alone systems with a wide range of AMD and Intel processors.

IBASE Technology Inc. announced the release of the Signature Book(TM) SI-38 - an ultra-compact, professional grade digital signage system powered by the new AMD Embedded R-Series Platform. The AMD Embedded R-Series APU allows the SI-38 to maintain an exceptionally small form factor, while still enabling powerful graphic performances in many different applications. The SI-38's 384-core AMD Radeon(TM) HD 7660 graphics engine delivers stunning graphics rendering performance and supports the latest APIs including DirectX(R) 11, OpenGL4 & OpenCL(TM) 1.1. The system can be wall mounted or used on a desktop. Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, analog audio and RS-232 serial are standard; WiFi /TV Tuner connections are optional. Up to 16GB of DDR3-1600 system memory may be installed. An externally removable 2.5" HDD or SSD may be installed. The SI-38 system measures 10.6" x 7" x 1" to disappear into tight spaces behind a wall mounted display. SI-38 Signature Book(TM) features: Quad-Core AMD Embedded R-Series APU up to 35W, with AMD Radeon(TM) HD 7000G graphics, up to three independent 1080p display outputs, dual channel DDR3-1600 memory up to 16GB, iSMART - EuP/ErP power saving, auto-scheduler and power resume, dual mPCI-E(x1) slots for WiFi and TV tuner options and RS232 Serial port.

IBASE Technology Inc. has announced the release of the MB941 Intela G41 express chipset-based Micro ATX motherboard. The board comes with four COM ports that support RS-232 levels and one of these ports also support RS-422/RS-485 levels. MB941 comes equipped with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500, or GMA X4500, that makes smooth high-definition video playback possible without the need for add-in video cards or decoders and allows it to deliver optimized 3D graphics performance. With an LGA775 socket that fits in Intel Core2 Quad/Duo family and Intel Celeron processors with system bus of 1333/1066/800MHz, MB941 features two DDR3 memory slots that accommodate up to 4GB of system memory for faster system responsiveness. The board has two Gigabit Ethernet ports, as well as four SATA II ports, eight USB 2.0 ports and a printer port. Expansion slots available are one PCI-E(x16), one PCI-E(x1) and two PCI slots. According to the company, MB941 is ideal for industrial, embedded and communications applications that can make use of the multiple COM ports on board. Measuring 244mm by 244mm, it optionally comes with the ID395 daughter boards for TPM function.
