The company was formerly known as Prime View International, Inc. and changed its name to E Ink Holdings Inc. in 2010. The company was founded in 1992 and is headquartered in Hsinchu, Taiwan. E Ink Holdings Inc. is a subsidiary of the YFY Group.

E Ink Holdings Announces Management Changes

E Ink Holdings announced the results of its annual shareholders meeting on June 18, 2014. Shareholders elected Dr. JT Wen, professor at National Chengchi University; and Dr. Biing-Seng Wu, chairman of Himax Corporation as the new independent directors. To further strengthen governance, the independent directors form the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee, both chaired by Mr. Chen. The new board also elected Dr. Frank Ko as the Chairman and CEO of E Ink. The board also named Mr. Johnson Lee as President of E Ink Holdings, replacing Dr. CC Tsai who has temporarily returned to the National Chiao Tung University. Mr. Lee was the former head of business development for E Ink. In his new position he will be responsible for leading E Ink's four major business units and developing new application markets.

E Ink Holdings Incorporated announced that Ten-Chung Chen, the original Independent Director of the company; Yung-Cheng Chen, the original Independent Director of the company; and Po-Young Chu, the professor of National Chiao Tung Unversity as replaced compensation committee members of the company and Ten-Chung Chen; the Independent Director of the company; Biing-Seng Wu; the Independent Director of the company; and Chao-Tung Wen, the Independent Director of the company as new compensation committee members of the company. The effective date is June 18, 2014.
