albioma (ABIO) Key Developments
Albioma raised earnings guidance for 2013. During the course of its regular review of long-term power contracts, Albioma reached an agreement in principle with EDF that takes account of additional costs incurred because of changed circumstances surrounding the operation of two Albioma plants (Bois-Rouge and Le Gol) on the French island of Réunion in recent years. This agreement was approved by a resolution of France's Commission de Régulation de l'Energie (CRE) on June 5, 2013. The amendments to the company's contracts with EDF are due to be signed off in July 2013. These amendments stipulate an upward adjustment in fees from 2013 on, as well as compensation backdated to cover the past three years. Taking into account new logistical and environmental costs, this compensation enables the group to revise its 2013 EBITDA target to EUR 3 million and its group net income target to EUR 2 million.
Sechilienne-Sidec (ENXTPA:SECH) is planning to acquire thermal power plants in Brazil, managed by sugar companies, and adapt them for energy production via biomass. In France, Sechilienne-Sidec targets to expand in the sector of biomethane.
Sechilienne-Sidec announced that the Ordinary and Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders held on May 30, 2013, the shareholders approved a dividend of €0.59 per share and an option for shareholders to have up to 50% of their dividends paid in shares. In case the option is exercised, the new shares will be issued at a unit price of €12.24. The option to have dividends paid in new company shares must be exercised in the period June 10-25, inclusive. The distribution of cash dividends and new shares will take place on July 5, 2013. The shareholders also approved the proposal to appoint three new directors, that had been announced on May 2, 2013. Michèle REMILLIEUX, Daniel VALOT and Jean-Carlos ANGULO thus join the Board of Directors, where they will use their expertise and long international experience to further the group's long-term growth. The newly constituted Board of Directors confirmed Mr. Jacques PéTRY in his role as Chairman and CEO. Madame REMILLIEUX was appointed Chairwoman of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, while Mr. VALOT and Mrs. Myriam MAESTRONI will respectively chair the Audit, Accounts and Risks Committee and the Environmental and Social Responsibility Committee.
