Brookfield Canada Office Properties To Buy Properties

Brookfield Canada Office Properties (TSX:BOX.UN) is looking to buy properties. It is is in due diligence to buy 60 Carrington Street from PAG for about $118 million, say industry sources. Brookfield is also made a bid for 275 George Street, but is facing a stiff competition from Charter Hall Group (ASX:CHC) and other players. Brookfield may look at buying is 309 George Street from Abacus Property Group (ASX:ABP) and AM alpha GmbH.

Abacus Property Group Announces Audited Consolidated and Parent Earnings Results for the Year Ended June 30, 2014

Abacus Property Group announced audited consolidated and parent earnings results for the year ended June 30, 2014. For the year, the company reported consolidated statutory net profit was AUD 108.3 million against AUD 61.1 million a year ago. Underlying profit was AUD 101.3 million against AUD 83.8 million a year ago. Cash flow from operations was AUD 90.3 million against AUD 105.7 million a year ago. Underlying profit per security was 20.8 cents against 18.8 cents a year ago. Cash flow from operations per security was 18.6 cents against 23.7 cents a year ago. Revenue was AUD 370.4 million against AUD 281.0 million a year ago. Total income was AUD 424.7 million against AUD 305.9 million a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities was AUD 120.6 million against AUD 123.2 million a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities per security was 24.81 cents against 25.35 cents a year ago. The underlying profit reflects the statutory profit as adjusted in order to present a figure which reflects the Directors' assessment of the result for the ongoing business activities of Abacus, in accordance with the AICD /Finsia principles for reporting underlying profit. Net profit attributable to Abacus security holders was AUD 111.641 million against AUD 68.351 million a year ago. Basic earnings per security were 22.27 cents against 13.68 cents a year ago. Profit before tax was AUD 122.077 million against AUD 74.319 million a year ago. Profit attributable to equity holders of the parent entity was AUD 21.46 million against AUD 3.69 million a year ago. Purchase of property, plant and equipment was AUD 6.764 million against AUD 7.822 million a year ago. For the year, the parent company reported loss was AUD 26.913 million against profit of AUD 4.978 million a year ago.
