ADC India Communications Ltd. announced unaudited earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2012. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of INR 76.1 million compared with INR 145.1 million for the same period a year ago. Loss from operations before other income, finance cost and exceptional items was INR 19.9 million compared with profit from operations before other income, finance cost and exceptional items of INR 14.5 million for the same period a year ago. Loss from ordinary activities before tax was INR 16.5 million compared with profit from ordinary activities before tax of INR 19.3 million for the same period a year ago. Net loss was INR 15.1 million or INR 3.29 per basic and diluted share compared with net profit of INR 13.1 million or INR 2.85 per basic and diluted share for the same period a year ago. For the nine months, the company reported net sales of INR 277.4 million compared with INR 493.0 million for the same period a year ago. Loss from operations before other income, finance cost and exceptional items was INR 38.4 million compared with profit from operations before other income, finance cost and exceptional items of INR 39.1 million for the same period a year ago. Loss from ordinary activities before tax was INR 67.3 million compared with profit from ordinary activities before tax of INR 50.6 million for the same period a year ago. Net loss was INR 54.4 million or INR 11.83 per basic and diluted share compared with net profit of INR 34.0 million or INR 7.39 per basic and diluted share for the same period a year ago.
