Autodesk, Inc. announced unaudited consolidated earnings results for the first quarter ended April 30, 2013. For the quarter, the company reported total net revenue was $570.4 million against $588.6 million a year ago. Income from operations was $81.4 million against $94.0 million a year ago. Income before income taxes was $72.6 million against $97.5 million a year ago. Net income was $55.6 million against $78.9 million a year ago. Diluted net income per share was $0.24 against $0.34 a year ago. Non-GAAP income from operations was $136.9 million against $145.0 million a year ago. Non-GAAP net income was $96.3 million or $0.42 per diluted share against $109.1 million or $0.47 per diluted share a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was $224.1 million against $139.3 million a year ago. Capital expenditures were $25.8 million against $11.5 million a year ago. For the second quarter of 2014, the company expects revenue to be in the range of $550 million to $570 million. EPS to be in the range of $0.21 to $0.26 and Non-GAAP EPS to be in the range of $0.39 to $0.44. Non-GAAP earnings per diluted share exclude $0.11 related to stock-based compensation expense, $0.06 for the amortization of acquisition related intangibles, and $0.01 for restructuring, net of tax. For the fiscal year 2014, net revenue is now expected to increase by approximately 3% compared to fiscal 2013. The introduction of mobile devices into the construction industry is transforming the way that projects are built and managed. With BIM 360 Glue, enhanced cloud-based collaboration and mobile access help ensure that the entire project team can participate in the coordination process, minimizing the coordination cycles and providing teams with tools to view the designs wherever they are located. Extended project design and construction teams can use one-click access to review the latest project models and run clashes in real-time, saving time and money on design and construction projects. The new release provides a redesigned and optimized user interface as well as support for larger project models, and improved coordination with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D.
