Its products include FSP (Fiber Service Platform) 3000, a scalable optical transport solution for high-bandwidth applications; RAYcontrol software, a multi-layer generalized multiprotocol label switching control plane that simplifies provisioning, monitoring, and control of network infrastructure; and Ethernet access solutions, such as FSP 150CC, FSP 150CM, FSP 150EG-X, and FSP 150SP to deliver carrier Ethernet services. The company’s products also include FSP Service Manager that enables clients to track, manage, and support network from their desk; and FSP Network Manager, which enables multiple users across the entire network to access fault, configuration, inventory, security, and performance management for various network nodes. In addition, it provides networking solutions for various applications, including data center connectivity, business Ethernet, mobile and broadband backhaul, Agile core transport, and research and education, as well as offers various services for the network lifecycle comprising network design, deployment, and maintenance. The company offers its products for telecommunications service providers, private companies, universities, and government agencies worldwide. ADVA Optical Networking SE sells its product portfolio directly, as well as through an international network of distribution partners. ADVA Optical Networking SE announced consolidated earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2014. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of €87,169,000 against €78,367,000 a year ago. Pro-forma operating income was €425,000 against €1,536,000 a year ago. Operating income was €38,000 against €1,153,000 a year ago. Income before tax was €36,000 against €712,000 a year ago. Net income was €3,000 against €124,000 a year ago. The IFRS operating income amounted to rounded nil in second quarter of 2014 after €1.2 million reported last year. The key driver for the unfavorable year-on-year development is the above-mentioned decrease of pro forma operating income. The IFRS net income amounted to rounded nil in second quarter of 2014, down from €0.1 million in 2013. Basic and diluted IFRS net earnings per share in second quarter of 2014 were nil each after nil respectively in 2013. For the six months, the company reported revenues of €165,288,000 against €155,401,000 a year ago. Pro forma operating income was €816,000 against €2,341,000 a year ago. ADVA Optical Networking announced that Bluebird Network has deployed the ADVA 100G Core to connect major urban areas within Missouri. Primarily focusing upon a data expressway between Kansas City and St. Louis, Bluebird Network is using the ADVA 100G Core to respond to enormous bandwidth growth from its service provider and enterprise customers. Deployment of the ADVA 100G Core is the latest in a seven-year partnership between ADVA Optical Networking and Bluebird Network. This partnership has helped to drive both rural and urban connectivity to new heights, ensuring Missouri's customers have access to the bandwidth they need. Fully integrated into the ADVA FSP 3000, the ADVA 100G Core is built on coherent receivers, low-noise amplification and increased non-liner optical tolerance. Deployed extensively by service providers across the globe, the ADVA 100G Core ensures robust scalability to answer fierce data growth. This scalability is key for Bluebird Network, not only for its burgeoning state-wide traffic but also for its national transport. As a key member of the Alliances Telecom Group (INDATEL), Bluebird Network is responsible for a growing amount of interstate data. In addition to the ADVA 100G Core, Bluebird Network also subscribes to ADVA Optical Networking's Care program that ensures rapid response to network issues.

Noel Communications Deploys ADVA Optical Networking's ADVA FSP 3000 and ADVA FSP 150 to Answer Rural Bandwidth Growth

ADVA Optical Networking announced that Noel Communications has deployed its ADVA FSP 3000 and ADVA FSP 150 to advance rural connectivity throughout Washington. Noel Communications specifically chose ADVA Optical Networking's optical transport equipment and Ethernet access and aggregation devices for their rapid scalability and ease of use. This technology will prove critical as Noel Communications continues to respond to fierce bandwidth growth from its diverse range of enterprise customers. The strategic partnership between Noel Communications and ADVA Optical Networking also includes maintenance and training services.
